Guarantees of up to $500,000 are waiting in the upcoming series
The WPT Global Winter Classic will be held at Playground Montreal from January 24 to February 4, giving poker fans an adventure loaded with high-stakes action and generous cash prizes. This poker festival features a busy lineup of events for both live and online players.
Players can get started early online with two events on WPT Global, beginning on January 22 with the $22 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, followed by the $44 No-Limit Hold’em event on January 23. The winners will take home championship rings ahead of the exciting live series.
The highlight of the WPT Winter Classic is the $500,000 Guaranteed $1,150 Main Event, running from February 1 through February 4. Players can earn a seat for the event through daily online satellites with buy-ins as low as $9.35 on WPT Global.
The Winter Classic has a variety of events for poker enthusiasts at all levels, with diverse tournaments throughout the series. Some noteworthy tournaments include the $30,000 Guarantee $500 Monster Stack on January 30, the $100,000 Guarantee $2,200 High Roller on January 31, and the $50,000 Guarantee $600 PKO event on February 4.
The Meet-Up Game (MUG) at Playground on January 31 is another thrilling Winter Classic event featuring $2/$5 cash games where players can sit down with WPT Global Ambassadors Matt Berkey, Jonathan “Apestyles” Van Fleet and Xuan Liu, who will be alternating among the tables.
To qualify for the MUG, players must participate in the $2/$5 cash games, wear a furnished patch, and make their initial minimum deposit of at least $20 (or hold an active account with a balance of $500 or more).
