The long-time poker pro and grinder continues to show off his skills
Alex Foxen continues to add to his impressive poker resume, surpassing $47.1 million in career tournament earnings after securing a win at the 2025 PokerGO Tour Pot-Limit Omaha Series. His latest victory came in Event No. 7, a $15,000 buy-in tournament that drew 70 entries. Foxen claimed the top prize of $315,000, marking his eighth PGT title and the 29th tournament win of his career.
The event generated a prize pool of just over $1 million, with 10 players making the money. Among those cashing were notable names like Ben Tollerene, Nick Schulman, and Bryce Yockey, who were eliminated late on the first day of play. When the tournament reached its final table, Foxen held the chip lead and maintained control through most of the session.
Sean Rafael was the first to exit on Day 2, finishing in fifth place for $78,750. His tournament came to an end after running pocket kings into Jesse Lonis’ pocket aces. Not long after, six-time bracelet winner Josh Arieh, who had briefly taken the chip lead, fell in third place for $141,750. He lost a critical pot to Lonis, whose full house on the river sent Arieh to the rail.
Foxen entered heads-up play against Lonis with a slight chip deficit but quickly gained the advantage. A well-timed hand helped him take control, and shortly after, he secured the win with a flush on the turn, eliminating Lonis in second place for $204,750.
This win moves Foxen inside the top 20 in the 2025 Player of the Year standings and gives him the lead in the PLO series points race. His strong run in the tournament circuit continues to solidify his place among the game’s all-time greats.
