The Major Series of Poker: The Tour is making its latest stop at JACK Cleveland Casino, where players are gathering for the Ohio Poker State Championship. The event runs from February 10 through February 16 and marks another key date in Season 17 of the mid-stakes tour.
The schedule includes six Gold Card events, offering a mix of formats for different styles of play. Highlights include a Tag Team tournament, a Seniors event, Pot-Limit Omaha, and a No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack. There is also a $400 buy-in President’s Day tournament carrying a $50,000 guarantee.
The main attraction is the $1,110 Ohio Poker State Championship, which features a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool. Day 1A begins at 3:15 p.m. local time on Thursday, February 12. Players start with 30,000 chips and compete in 40-minute levels, with late registration open until shortly after midnight.
Two additional starting flights give players more chances to advance. Day 1B takes place on Friday at 12:15 PM, with late registration available into the evening. Day 1C follows on Saturday at the same time. Survivors from all three flights will return Sunday morning for Day 2, where the field will play down to a champion.
The Cleveland stop is part of a busy stretch for the tour. Following Ohio, the MSPT heads to Milwaukee’s Potawatomi Casino for the Club Poker Championship, which carries a $1 million guarantee.
March brings more festival stops, including Grand Falls Casino in Iowa and Riverside Casino, before wrapping up the month in St. Louis for the Missouri Poker State Championship at Ameristar Casino St. Charles.
