The event will run January 12 and 13 inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas
The PokerGO Tour is set to wrap up its 2025 season with one of its most anticipated events. In mid-January, the tour will host the PGT Championship, a freeroll tournament featuring $1 million in prize money reserved for the season’s top performers.
The event will run January 12 and 13 inside the PokerGO Studio. Entry is limited to the top 40 players from the official PGT leaderboard, along with Dream Seat winners who earned their spots through special promotions. The Championship follows the PGT Last Chance series, which offers players a final opportunity to qualify.
Like recent editions, the winner will walk away with $500,000, while the remaining prize pool will be distributed among the field.
The format rewards consistency across the season rather than a single buy-in, making it one of the most exclusive tournaments on the high-stakes calendar.
Although the event is still relatively young, it has already produced several memorable moments. Slovenia’s Rok Gostisa claimed the inaugural title in 2021. The following year featured a heads-up battle between American pros Jason Koon and Sean Winter, with Koon taking the top prize.
Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic won in 2023, while last season saw Jeremy Ausmus defeat Nick Schulman to earn $500,000 and the Player of the Year title.
With recent high-profile action at PokerGO Studio, including Joao Simao winning the Super High Roller Bowl, expectations are high for another competitive Championship to close out the PGT season.
