The latest edition of the poker tournament begins on June 17
Global Poker is partnering with poker industry news site PokerNews to present the second annual Global Poker x PokerNews Cup. Various events are scheduled during three weeks of thrilling action, offering players a chance to win exciting prizes and stylish Global Poker x PokerNews merchandise.
The Global Poker x PokerNews Cup runs from June 17 to July 7. Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) events feature multiple poker variations, including Progressive Bounty, Mystery Bounty, Turbo, and Super Deep formats. Thirty beautiful Global Poker x PokerNews trophies will also be up for grabs, along with a ton of Global Poker x PokerNews Cup gear and avatars for the lucky winners.
A total of GC 112 million and SC 280,000 in guaranteed prizes will be awarded leading up to the Global Poker x Poker News Cup Main Events beginning on June 30. The top finishers will win a share of the guaranteed prize pools of GC 20 million and SC 50,000.
The GC and SC Freeroll Finale Qualifiers begin on July 1, where the top 45 finishers will reach the Freeroll Finales on July 7 to compete for a cut of the GC 100 million and SC 100,000 in prizes that will be up for grabs.
Players who win any event during the first two weeks will earn automatic entries to the Freeroll Finales. Winners of the Freeroll Qualifiers will also earn entries into the event. Those who reach a GC or SC final table will get an entry into the Final Tables’ Qualifier, with the top nine finishers awarded a spot in the Freeroll Finales. Players can also earn entries through two Participants’ Qualifiers on July 5 and 6.
