The new platform will be PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel and will offer greater player liquidity
Flutter Entertainment plans to move PokerStars onto the FanDuel platform in several regulated markets. The new service will operate under the name “PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel.” Industry discussion about the shift picked up in mid-2025, and a combined poker client surfaced in testing earlier this year.
PokerStars and @FanDuel are teaming up to launch @PokerStars in the USA exclusively on FanDuel.

The change will impact players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Ontario. Flutter owns both brands and is combining them to streamline operations and improve financial results. Casino and sports betting products typically bring in stronger margins than online poker alone.
A shared wallet system will let customers move funds between poker, casino, and sportsbook offerings within one account. The company expects this structure to encourage cross-play and keep users inside a single ecosystem. Executives believe scale and lower operating costs will support long-term performance.
The merger will also link player pools in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, creating a larger combined network. Ontario will remain ring-fenced under local rules, though players there will still access the FanDuel system. Bigger liquidity is expected to mean more active tables and larger tournament prize pools.
Flutter intends to bring back the Sunday Million to US players in 2026 with a $1 million guarantee. Key transition dates are already set. PokerStars Rewards will close in March 2026, with unused value converted to cash, and progressive jackpots will end shortly after.
When the migration is complete, the standalone PokerStars app will shut down. Players will need a FanDuel Casino account to continue, and remaining balances must be withdrawn within 30 days or will be mailed by check. Promotional offers are being used to encourage early account setup before the full rollout.
