The King’s Resort in Rozvadov will host the series once again
With the release of the schedule for the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the dates for the 2024 WSOP Europe have also been announced. The King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, will once again host the festival, which features 15 bracelet events and €15 million ($16,248,000) in guaranteed prizes.
The series runs from September 18 to October 9, when the WSOPE Main Event will crown its European Champion. The Main Event has a €5 million ($5,416,000) guarantee, and around 400 qualifiers are expected in the first starting flight. Besides the Main Event, five other tournaments have minimum guarantees of at least €1 million.
In the previous edition of the event, 817 players participated, leading to a record-breaking prize pool of €7,761,500 ($8,407,257). Max Neugebauer, a former pro basketball player, emerged victorious and secured the first-place prize of €1.5 million ($1,624,800) along with the coveted Main Event bracelet.
Several other notable players have won a bracelet in Rozvadov, including Omar Eljach, who won his second WSOP bracelet in the €550 PLO 8-Max event. Tobias Peters took down the €1,650 NLH 6-Max after beating 2024 EPT Paris Main Event winner and two-time bracelet holder Barny Boatman heads-up to end his 11-year quest for the most coveted prize in poker.
In the high-stakes realm, Daniel Dvoress and Santhosh Suvarna secured some of the biggest prizes won at the WSOPE at King’s Resort, each earning a bracelet and prizes of €600,000 ($649,920) and €650,000 ($704,080), respectively.
