DraftKings is strengthening its presence in the poker industry through a new partnership with the Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT). This collaboration will officially begin on February 6 with CPT Game Night V, bringing together high-profile personalities and poker enthusiasts for an exciting event.
The move comes shortly after DraftKings introduced Electric Poker, a peer-to-peer online poker game that launched in Michigan in August 2024 before expanding to Pennsylvania. Unlike traditional house-banked casino games, Electric Poker allows players to compete directly against each other in a lottery sit-and-go format.
Blake Wynn, the founder of CPT, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that the unpredictable nature of celebrity poker games makes them particularly entertaining. Having played against many of the participants before, he acknowledged that it is impossible to predict who will emerge victorious.
