An ER doctor and poker player from Bedford, Massachusetts, has made history
For the first time in its 17-year history, ClubWPT has named an official brand ambassador. The online poker platform, known for offering members a chance to compete for real prizes through a subscription model, has selected Josh Guindon, an ER doctor from Bedford, Massachusetts, to represent the company at World Poker Tour events throughout 2025.
Guindon’s success on ClubWPT played a major role in securing the sponsorship. He has consistently performed well in WPT tournaments, including making the final table of last December’s ClubWPT Gold $5 Million Freeroll, where he finished seventh and collected a $30,000 prize along with a $100,000 mystery bounty. His deep runs extend to multiple WPT Championship events, showcasing his skills against top competition.
His poker journey began after watching a WPT episode on television, which led him to sign up for ClubWPT. His first major breakthrough came when he topped a field of over 1,100 players to win a VIP package to the 2022 WPT Venetian Championship.
There, he finished in 48th place for nearly $20,000. He later added strong finishes in the WPT Voyage Championship and the WPT bestbet Jacksonville, earning additional five-figure payouts.
To celebrate Guindon’s new role, ClubWPT is hosting a $5,000 guaranteed Sun Run Bounty Tournament on March 23, where he will be a featured bounty. Additionally, players who cash in that event will see their payouts doubled if Guindon also finishes in the money at the upcoming WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship.
Beyond online play, Guindon will appear at major WPT events, including the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship and the WPT World Championship in December. His journey highlights how ClubWPT provides players with real opportunities to compete on poker’s biggest stage.
