The annual event honors players and volunteers in the poker ecosystem
The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) is set to host a special evening honoring the players, sponsors, and volunteers who have contributed to its success. The awards dinner and poker tournament will take place at Via Brasil Steakhouse in Las Vegas on Wednesday, marking the organization’s 79th event.
A mix of poker pros, celebrities, and entertainers are expected to attend. Actress Katie Morgan, former NFL player Melvin Fowler, and Ghost Adventures’ Jay Wasley are among the notable guests. Ink Masters winner Joey Hamilton and comedian Joe Stapleton will also be present, along with poker figures like Mike Matusow, Joe Ingram, Matt Savage, and Anthony Zinno. The night’s emcee will be comedian Gabe Lopez, best known for hosting The Dirty at 12:30.
Festivities kick off with a dinner and silent auction at 5:30 PM., featuring an open bar and a rodizio-style meal. The awards ceremony follows at 6:00 PM, celebrating individuals who have made significant contributions to the charity.
At 7:00 PM, the poker tournament begins with a $200 buy-in. Players can purchase 10,000-chip rebuys or a 20,000-chip add-on for $100 each. The top prize is $5,000, with additional prizes totaling more than $10,000, including silent auction and bounty rewards. Free massages will be available for tournament participants.
Guests can choose to attend only the dinner and auction for $100, while those entering the tournament will pay $200, which includes dinner. Business casual attire is encouraged.
Since its founding in 2014 by poker pro Matt Stout, CSOP has raised over $6 million for charities, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish, and Habitat for Humanity. This event aims to continue that mission, supporting the organization’s efforts to provide gaming equipment for beneficiaries year-round.
