Princess Love took the title in the PokerGO-led event
The PokerGO Studio was converted into an extravaganza on Thursday as many athletes, celebrities and online content creators descended on Las Vegas for a night of poker action to kick off Super Bowl festivities this past weekend. The Celebrity Poker Tour Invitational II field comprised 73 players by invitation only and included reality TV star Princess Love taking the title and $20,000 along with a custom inscribed bottle of LOUIS XIII cognac with two Baccarat crystal glasses.
Attendees at the second annual Celebrity Poker Tour Invitational included Perez Hilton and Tana Mongeau, a Las Vegas influencer who finished in third place for $5,000 before Atlanta Falcons fullback Keith Smith finished as runner-up for $10,000.
At the live-streamed feature table, chess champion Alexandra Botez joined Mongeau, who sat between fellow social media influencers Bryce Hall and Steiny. At another table, Ethan “Rampage” Yau battled against fellow poker vlogger Brad Owen, next to the table featuring poker star Wolfgang Poker, NFL player Calais Campbell and pro soccer star Lauren Sesselmann.
Love’s table included her husband, Ray J, and last year’s champion Qiyu “Nemo” Zhou. She would battle against the chess master and others, including Jose Canseco, Josie Canseco and Gordie Gronkowski.
Yau, Hall and Wolfgang Poker were all eliminated around the bubble, with the top ten spots taking prizes. Love would score a double knockout after hitting a flush on the river to ultimately take the chip lead from NFL player Laviska Shenault and the victory.
Love finished 40th in last December’s WPT World Championship for $132,500, which puts her over $270,400 in live earnings.
Others cashing in the event include Gronkowski (8th for $1,334), Trent “BookItWithTrent” Attyah (5th for $3,000), and Laviska Shenault (4th for $3,500).
