The casino is hosting its second million-dollar WSOPC tournament of 2024
The Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, is gearing up for another major World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Main Event this November. The casino will host its second million-dollar WSOPC event of the year, marking the highlight of a 13-day poker series kicking off on October 30. The WSOPC Choctaw Durant stop is one of the most popular on the circuit, offering 18 ring events and over $2 million in total guaranteed prize pools.
The Main Event, which has a $1,700 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee, is the centerpiece of the series. For those looking for lower buy-ins, there are also several $250 events with guaranteed prize pools of at least $25,000, offering players of different bankrolls a chance to compete. The series opens with a $130 Seniors Event, designed for players aged 50 and above, scheduled to begin on October 30 at 11:00 AM.
One of the first opportunities to win a ring comes later that day with Event #2: a $250 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, which promises a $25,000 guarantee. Beyond the Main Event, other standout tournaments include a $250 Ladies Event, a $500 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and a second Seniors Event. Another notable tournament is WSOPC Event #13, a $500 No-Limit Hold ’em with a $250,000 guarantee and four Day 1 flights.
The previous WSOPC event at Choctaw in July attracted 1,017 entries and generated a prize pool of over $1.5 million. Justin Lapka from Minnesota took home $252,282 for winning the Main Event. With over $2 million in guaranteed prize pools this time, poker enthusiasts are expected to flock to Durant for another exciting series.
