The schedule includes stops in Las Vegas, Prague, Malta and more
The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) has released its full tournament schedule for the 2026 season. This year is special for the tour, marking two decades since the organization first began running events for recreational players.
The 2026 calendar includes stops across several international destinations. Events are planned in cities such as Las Vegas, Prague in the Czech Republic, and the Mediterranean island of Malta. A festival in Ireland is also part of the schedule.
Most of the tour’s tournaments will continue to take place in the United Kingdom, where the organization originally built its player base. The UK events remain the backbone of the circuit and regularly attract large groups of amateur players.
The tour has built a reputation for offering events with modest buy-ins while still providing structured tournament formats. APAT events often include longer blind levels than many similarly priced tournaments, allowing players more time to make decisions and develop strategy.
Another feature that sets the tour apart is the variety of poker formats offered. Many festivals include mixed games that are rarely seen at low stakes in Europe. Players may encounter games beyond No-Limit Hold’em, creating a different experience compared to standard tournament schedules.
Some events also experiment with unusual formats. Team competitions and sit-and-go tournaments frequently appear during APAT festivals. These additions give players the chance to try different styles of competition throughout the series.
Medals remain one of the tour’s most recognizable traditions. The top three finishers in many tournaments receive gold, silver, and bronze medals instead of the typical trophies. The World Championship of Amateur Poker also awards bracelets to winners.
With its mix of international travel, accessible buy-ins, and creative formats, the 2026 season continues APAT’s long-standing goal of giving amateur players a professional-style poker experience.
