This will be the ninth edition of the popular poker tournament series
The Poker Masters is returning to the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas for its ninth edition in September 2024. This high-stakes poker festival began in 2017 and has become a significant event for professional players. The 2024 series will run from September 10-19, featuring eight No-Limit Hold’em tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $5,100 to $25,200.
The festival will kick off with a $5,100 buy-in event, where players will face 30-minute levels. Most tournaments, with buy-ins between $10,100 and $15,100, will offer 40-minute blind levels. The series will culminate in a $25,200 buy-in event, featuring 45-minute levels, offering a final challenge for participants looking to go home with the title.
All eight tournaments are structured to take place over two days, with the action narrowing down to a final table of six players by the end of each Day 1. Poker fans will be able to follow all the final table action live from the comfort of their homes, as many poker platforms will be streaming the events to leave no detail out.
Participants will have the option to re-enter twice per event, giving them more chances to compete for a share of the prize pool. An added incentive is available for early birds. Simply put, those who sign up before the scheduled start time will enjoy a rake discount on their first entry.
The series will also incorporate the PokerGO Tour shot clock, giving players 20 seconds to act before the flop and 30 seconds afterward. Each player starts with eight 30-second time extensions before the first break, with six additional extensions available after the break.
Over the years, the Poker Masters has seen several outstanding players wear the coveted Purple Jacket, which is awarded to the overall champion of the series. Past winners include names like Michael Addamo, Sam Soverel, Steffen Sontheimer, and most recently, Stephen Chidwick in 2023. This year’s series promises to add another name to that prestigious list as the poker world turns its attention to Sin City next month.
