Reno is reviewing a $350 million mixed-use project anchored by a soccer stadium
City officials in Reno, Nevada are reviewing a proposal for a large-scale development known as The Boulevard Reno, which would combine a soccer stadium, casino, hotel, and entertainment complex. The project is planned for a 28-acre site and carries an estimated cost of $350 million. It follows other major development activity in the region, including a previously announced expansion at the Grand Sierra Resort, reflecting ongoing investment in Reno’s entertainment infrastructure.
The centerpiece of the proposal is a 6,000-seat soccer stadium designed to host a USL Championship club beginning in 2027. The stadium would span nearly 100,000 square feet and sit within a broader mixed-use layout that includes retail space, dining options, and public gathering areas. Developers have already started accepting season ticket deposits tied to the future team, indicating early-stage commercial planning ahead of construction approval.
In addition to the stadium, the project includes a casino floor of approximately 71,210 square feet, featuring slot machines and live-dealer table games. The development is expected to seek a non-restricted gaming license, which would allow flexibility in the number of gaming machines installed. The site would also feature a 301-room hotel, a theater, and more than 55,000 square feet of retail and dining space, including multiple restaurants and bars.
Developers estimate the project could generate between 850 and 950 jobs while redeveloping land previously used for commercial purposes. Plans also include environmental enhancements, with hundreds of trees and shrubs scheduled for planting across the site. If approved, the project would add a new mixed-use destination centered on sports and gaming within Reno’s expanding development landscape.
