Apple hasn’t removed a fake Rabby Wallet app, despite knowing it’s in the App Store
A bogus version of the Rabby Wallet crypto wallet app has reportedly been causing mayhem among unsuspecting App Store users. The team supporting DeBank’s Rabby Wallet verified on February 16 that its official app is currently under review and that any app presently listed on the store is fake.
The phony app is appearing on the App Store as “Rabby Wallet & Crypto Solution” by a business called “Solution Development,” with the version history displaying it’s been available for download for four days at the minimum. However, it remains on the store despite many users notifying Apple about the fraudulent app.
A user by the name “u/manolodf” started a Reddit thread on February 18 to alert others about the bogus wallet app. The same thread was posted on the Apple discussion board, showing screenshots from users who said they lost funds when using the app.
“This is insane and should NEVER happen on Apple Ecosystem, how does a counterfeit Crypto Wallet make it on the app store that just steals their money by posing as the real one,” one user asked.
Another user said they were “scammed for about $5,000 from this fraudulent app this morning. I have raised a support case with Apple to see if there’s any means of reimbursement as the app has been reported multiple times prior.”

NFT collector “bthemouth” declared the phony Rabby app emptied their wallets after importing their seed phrase. The user shared a wallet address that allegedly belonged to the hacker, which held just under 14 Ether valued at about $40,000.
Fake Rabby wallets have appeared several times on the App Store. It also emerged on the App Store in October and December 2023, according to warnings issued at the time by the Rabby team.
