Sunday Recap: Players show up en masse for the $5 Million Venom PKO

Sunday was the final Day 1 of our $5 Million Venom PKO. Not only did players show up in full force to take advantage of online poker’s biggest progressive knock out tournament, but we also hosted great Venom specials as well as our signature Sunday tourneys. $200,000 GTD Venom Special Euro High Roller
European players and early risers didn’t waste any time on Sunday. Our $200K GTD tourney featured 434 entries and a final prize pool of $260,400. In all, 55 players got paid. The top three after a final table deal:

$300,000 GTD Warm Up
Our $300K Warm Up was roughly as warm as the poker community anticipated with 3,022 entries. This popular $109 buy-in tournament ended up with a final prize pool of $302,200. Congratulations to the 383 players who cashed, especially the top three:

$150,000 GTD Sunday Special 
With 823 entries in all, Sunday’s $150K unlimited re-entry tourney was nearly 10 percent more special than advertised. 110 players got paid in this $215 buy-in event, which had a final prize pool of $164,600. The top three:

$750,000 Venom Special Sunday High Roller
1,451 entrants played in Sunday’s $750K GTD tourney. When it was all said and done, the final prize pool hit an impressive $870,600 in this $630 buy-in tourney, which had 175 paid places. The top three after a two-way final table deal:

$300,000 GTD Venom Special
Our $300K Venom Special featured 1,573 entries and a final prize pool of $314,600. Congrats to the 201 players who took home cash in this $215 buy-in tournament, especially the top three. Here are the results after a final table deal:

High Stake Adventure: South Korea
Yesterday we awarded two prize packages to South Korea for our latest High Stakes Adventure. The winners are heading to Jeju Island, where they’ll get to play in a Super High Roller Series in March! Each package includes $110,000 for tournament buy-ins, business class airfare and luxury hotel accommodations. Congrats to these two:
