Sunday Recap: Last Day 1 Venom Flights Keep Momentum Going

Yesterday saw the last Day 1 flights of our Dual Mystery Bounty Venoms which both soared past their guarantee. There was also a huge slate of Venom Specials that brought big scores and headline-making finishes.

Dual Mystery Bounty Venoms

All Day 1 flights for our Dual Venoms are officially in the books. The $8 Million GTD NLH drew 3,233 entries over 6 flights for an $8,082,500 final prize pool. The $2 Million GTD PLO pulled in 871 entries for a $2,177,500 prize pool. Both tourneys continue today with Day 2, with the final tables scheduled for tomorrow.

VSpecial High Roller – $500,000 GTD

High rollers showed up in droves for this $500K GTD Venom Special ($1,050 buy-in), with 690 total entries. That pushed the prize pool to $690,000. A total of 85 players finished in the money. The top three:

  1. NeverDiee -> $142,576
  2. AXLP -> $104,543
  3. Kunish0 -> $76,317

Phil’s Thrill

Phil’s Thrill ($10,300 buy-in) delivered another high-stakes battle on Sunday with 74 entries and a $740,000 prize pool. ACR Poker CEO Phil Nagy and ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker competed in the event per usual. Congratulations to all the winners, especially the top three finishers:

  2. YOUKNOWWHOIAM -> $140,500
  3. LightWork -> $111,000

Mini Phil’s Thrill – $200,000 GTD

We also ran our Mini Phil’s Thrill yesterday. This comes with a smaller $2,650 buy-in and a $200,000 guarantee. There were 137 entries in this one and a $342,500 prize pool. Take a look at the top-3 finishers:
