The Triton Super High Roller Series in Monte Carlo only recently began, and we already have a win to report from one of our ACR Pros!
Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero finished in 22nd place in Event #1 No Limit Hold’em – WPT Global Ultimate Slam. This was a $25,000 buy-in tourney and there were 170 total entries and 27 paid spots. The winner was Brian Kim from the U.S. who walked away with a sweet $941,000 but Barbero was also happy to get into the win column with a $47,000 payday.
Barbero, a native of Argentina, is not alone in representing ACR in Monte Carlo. We awarded two prize packages to our players through a September satellite in our latest High Stakes Adventure promotion. Each package included $110,000 in buy-ins / entry fees, plus business-class airfare and a stay at a luxury hotel. That makes these the richest live prize packages in poker!
Our CEO Phil Nagy is also enjoying the thrill of Triton play in the famed French Riveria. The action at the Super High Roller Series will continue through November 14th and we will have continuous updates about all the happenings in the Big Blind Blog.
Make sure you check back often!
