His strategic gameplay on the show ultimately led to victory. So perhaps his recent switch to the poker world shouldn’t be too surprising, given his talent for the tactical. In 2020, we welcomed him to the fold as an ACR Pro. Pardy credits a fellow reality TV contestant with sparking his interest in the game—it was Bill Perkins who really kicked off his fledgling poker career. Along with fellow ACR pro Drew Gonzalez, he was part of the Thirst Lounge team. And this particular project equipped the Newfoundland native with all the necessary tools needed to develop his game. Although still a relative beginner, Pardy’s enthusiasm and appetite for poker is infectious. A fact which is especially evident when he’s streaming on Twitch or YouTube. And although the Canadian is yet to secure a notable tournament success, we’re expecting big things in future. As a former hockey player, whose career was cut short by injury, Pardy has a natural desire to compete and succeed. The signs are there to suggest that breakout success is just around the corner. From 2020 to 2022, he cashed in no fewer than 12 World Series of Poker events. Half of those came online, with the remainder taking place in Las Vegas, a place that Pardy loves to visit. He’s not a complete stranger to actually winning tournaments, either. For instance, in 2019, he took down a 103-strong charity event at the 2019 Run It Up Reno series.This likable character has amassed a sizable following online through his engaging and entertaining content. And although we’re biased, we have to say that watching Pardy stream is much more enjoyable than any reality television show!
